Will True Blood fans come to the vampire diaries? That’s the question on the CW’S mind as they launch The Vampire Diaries, a show based on vampires. True Blood is a MASSIVE success and the season finale happens to be the same week that the Series Premiere of The Vampire Diaries airs. Coincidence? Je pense que non!
what do you think, you think it’s a smart move to start The Vampire Diaries just as True Blood is ending, or do you really not think they’ll get any of TB’s loyal fans?

when will season
i’ll definately watch this show cause i love the books. they tend to mess up a few things tho. No offence but .. i hate true blood. btw elena’s suppose to be blond
I love True Blood. I remember reading TVD, but I just didn’t get into it. I’ll try to watch the premiere b/c nobody seems to sparkling, thank god. But the show seems too Gossip Girly for my taste. But I do love Ian Somerhalder.
Hmm. I watched the trailer and was seriously underwhelmed by TVD. I will give the pilot a go, but I feel this is aimed at a young teenage audience rather than the old TB one. Not sure if I’ll stay with it.
I just watched the pilot. I thought it was awesome.
I’m also a big fan of True Blood. So yeah, it’s possible to love both. xD
Nothing compares to true blood. i am sad it is ending. but maybe i could like vampire diaries.

I like them both, there really isn’t comparrision to the two. They are completely different stories. I don’t know why it always has to be one or the other. I love the top three out right now…twilight(books were better), true blood(books were better) and vampire diaries(books were great show looks promising)…i think for a lot of die hard TB fans can’t or won’t watch because the show is A) on CW and B) not as adult–although the books were pretty intense….I’m 27 and I watched the show. I’m always interested when tv and movies are made out of really great books…
AS an adult 30+ I don’t think a whole lot of people in their 30s Or 40s are gonna tune in to this show. This show seems geared toward teenage girls under 18. While Vampire Diaries and Twilight are age appropriate for young people I think Older people would be more into True Blood. I like Twilight but True Blood blows it right out of the water!! TB is just better I think.
When I was a teen the Only vampire thing for kids my age then was The Lost Boys and that kinda blew! True Blood Rules!!!!
true blood is the best vampire show. no matter what new show comes out true blood will still be my favorite show. i think is more interesting and there’s more drama. TB rules….
The thing is True Blood is a raunchier, sexier version of anything out there. It might be similar to the Vampire Diaries, but it looks like it’s much more grown up.
TVD have tried with the sex and the drugs, but it’s nowhere near as dark as TB. That doesn’t mean that it’s not good though.
I’m a bit worried that they are going to completely saturate and kill this genre though….
I love both true blood and vampire diaries!

I watch true blood and the vampire diaries, i am a huge fan of both.
PS. has anyone else here read the VD books as well? cause if you havent… DON’T! – They are really good, but the show is so different, its irritating.

True Blood Rocks!! There’s Nothing like it!! Yes there may be a lot of adult or raw content but its for Adults and it is HBO! I like Twilight as well but that seems tame by comparison Even the attack on Bella by James seems tame compared to what you can see on 1 episode of TB!!! I probably will go see the new twilight film next month just to see how they flesh out the story from the book. It will be So cool to see Jacob go from a scrawny teen to a kick-butt Wolf!! I heard the new song by Death Cab for Cutie Meet me on the Equinox I think it Rocks!!! I think that New Moon will be Really Cool!!

I don’t think i will watch TVD series, i have read TVD books 1-4 but not interested to continue to book 5. Watching TVD after TB feels like changing from high dosage medice to low one.
Anything with vampires or zombies people will watch now at days, no matter if its crap…. cause its whats fashion right now. People just like anything commercial.
i found out about vampire diaries because of true blood, so i was a true blood fan now turn vampire diaries fan, anyhting with vampires!
I read TVD books long before I heard of TB because I have a teenage daughter and like to screen read her books before hand. I liked the VD books as well as Twilight series. They are appropriate for my 14 y/o. Sweet yet exciting for kids. TB on the other hand I discovered while watching a movie on cable one night, feel in love, and have been addicted ever since. Being from the south myself and being over 30 I enjoy the more adult content. I have just started reading the books and like them immensely. Both shows are about vamps yes, but comparing the 2 is like comparing apples and oranges. I watch TB with my husband and VD with my daughter. So liking both is a concievable notion but for totally different reasons.

eventhough I expend almost all of my afternoon on the internet enjoying games like zynga poker or mafia wars, I always like to utilize some free time to check out a couple sites here and there and I am seriously happy to report this newest piece of writing is frankly somewhat good quality and radically more beneficial than 50 % the various other spam I read today , anyways i’m going to enjoy a smattering of hands of facebook poker
