The Vampire Diaries Promo was very good. It showed that Stephen returned there for a reason Elena she looks like his lover.

TRUE BLOOD IS AMAZING
Not very much like the book… But lovin’ the Stefan and Damon looks, even if they’re NOTHING like I pictured them to be… I dio hope they stick to the books more so than it looks like they do from the trailer.
Interesting that they’ve made Elena a brunette and Caroline blonde.
I am very much looking forward to it, but parts of the ‘her love’, ‘her heart’ thing was ttttooo cheesy. I hope they don’t lose depth trying to sell to a young audience – they don’t need to condescend. But… still… I’m REALLY looking forward to it (please tell the guy playing Damon to grow his hair slightly longer!)…
I think the actors could be more beautiful too…
The main dude is so not good looking!!! Damon guy is still OK but the other guy is such a dork!!! And the whole thing is a bit too 90210 for me…you know with all that stereotypical high school stuff…what I love about TB is that it is so not stereotypical…
Ok, there’s a big difference between an adult vampire show (True Blood) and a vampire show that resembles Twilight (Vampire Diaries).

I’ve been reading the books….and noticed..
that Elena is suppose to be a blonde…so why do they have her as a brunette?
this show…i’m not going to watch. this show is a mix of trueblood(the fact that there is vampires)…90210(that makes it gay)…and a spice of high school musical(with out the music, just the fact that everyone is hot)
thumbs down to the show…is not dark and lustful like trueblood. i’m not waste my time on this one…im gonna sit to watch a show just cause the cast is hot and by the end of the episode be all worked up.
wow. this looks like complete bullshit and another twilight wannabe… I hate Twilight. True Blood & Anne Rice > Twilight and Vampire Diaries.
It seems odd that they would pick a girl whose previous accomplishments included MTV’s American Mall, and Degrassi.
Oh, and the comments still read “True Blood”, as does the poll section.
finally a good show that is not on cable, like true blood, which is good if you can afford cable with the econoy now a days.
All I have to say is that the Vampire Diaires looks completely idiotic and I know I love all vampire novels and I love True Blood, but come on people enough is enough with all these vampire shows..Also stop with making books into movies does anyone have an original idea anymore? Again still love the Sookie Stackhouse novels and True Blood
Wayyy too superficial looking. And the fact that’s it’s on the WB with Gossip Girl and all those other lame shows doesn’t help. True Blood is good because the people’s emotions don’t look fake…wish i could say the same for this show.
While I agree that the series looks like a bit of a dud–considering the channel and drastic changes they made from the books…I have to give credit where its due and that lies with the books. Which were written in the early 90′s long before both twilight and Vampire mysteries…so as for ripping them off its just not possible.
I think they are going to bubblegum this up way too much. The books are dark and far from teenie boober as the show looks to be. I still plan on giving it a shot but I doubt it will last.
The Vampires Diaries is better than Twilight Saga (book 3-4) but however i choice Sookie Stackhouse vampire stories as my fav. I have not watch the CW series of The Vampire Diaries yet, i’ll start to watch it now.

I hate people that didn´t read the Twilight Saga and still say bad things about it, only based on the film.
EVERYONE KNOWS THAT ALL THE BOOKS ARE BETTER THEN THE MOVIES!
People are expecting a blockbuster, and that wans´t a film to be it, that is a film for the fans of the books. Only the film, don´t make us glamored!
But I saw the film and I want read the books after and I´ve read them in a week cause they were so amazing. I don´t like horror, as so some people were dissapointed cause they want all the vampire stuff to be terrifying and Stephenie Meyer as given a turnway to it, and i love it.
But i´m also a big True Blood fan, and I think I will be a Vampire Diaries follower too.

AND STEPHEN AND DAMEN R SUPOSED TO BE TWINS THT LOOK THE SAME, NOT DIFFERENT! please stay more to the book. im so tired of stupid shows and movies being so different from the books they originated from. its an insult to the vampire diaries and now i understand y people always say tht the books are always better. because the way they make the shows or movies are always messed up compared to the book. if ur not goin to make it actualy like the books, then at least give it a different name! people need to just use the books as the script, then it would be perfect.
It looks ok. Being older true blood is definately my show, but if i was 15 again it seems like i would really like this show. i’ll skip the show but from the comments i think ill get the books. Who are they by????

Vampire Diaries is NOT a “Twilight wannabe.” This TV show was based on the books, which were written in the 1990′s. If anything, Twilight is the wannabe.
I can’t wait for this to come out! I love the books! But I think in the promo, Stefan looks like what I imagined Damon to be like and vice versa.
this is a travesty. the whole point of elena is that she’s an ice princess…why make her brunette when they could just as easily get a blonde actress? also, why change the name of the town, the dates stefan and damon lived, and where they’re from? also give stefan a father-figure? its completely idiotic. the material is in the books, why wouldn’t they use it? it looks like the only thing it has in common with the books is the title and the names of the characters. also, stefan and damon are supposed to be beautiful (as well as elena). and where’s meredith? and for anyone comparing the vampire diaries to twilight, lets just say stephenie meyer basically read LJ Smiths vampire books and then had a vampire dream that caused her to write twilight (poorly.)
