Robert Pattinson Strikes Back At Nina Dobrev!
After a recent article in which Nina Dobrev stated that she had the advantage over other women in playing vampire roles on television and in the movies, Robert Pattinson has struck back.
“I’m not disputing what Ms. Dobrev said in the interview about where she was born and that was the center of the vampire legends in the past, I simply do not believe that makes her more qualified.”
Pattinson, who started to walk away, met Taylor Lautner coming out and asked him the same question.
“No”, stated Lautner, “I go along with you. Where you came from makes no difference. It’s how you play the part.”
“If you’re doing a movie about Kyle Petty, you don’t go looking at the right NASCAR driver to play the part, do you?”
When someone answered “No”, he continued.
“Right! You would look at a lot of actors and ask them to try out for the movie if they are interested and try to get a contract signed by the best performer in that role.”
Lautner added: “You might want a NASCAR driver as an ‘adviser’ though.”
“Besides, we all now know that Pattinson here is related to the actual Dracula, Vlad The Impaler, so his connections are even closer!”

I’m sure Nina Dobrev was being facetious when she made that statement. And whomever asked Robert Pattinson what he thought of her statement is a moron. Seriously?! Out of all of the questions he/she could have asked, they ask that one? Even if it was meant to be a joke, it was just plain lame.
well she should have never said that , the boy are right , and you have no say either , it’s a free world with freedom of speech and freedom of press .
Haha I love how you say she had no right to say her opinion, then going on to say its a free world with freedom of speech. lmao bravo you are officially a walking contradiction
.
Yess it is annoying they ask all the actors in vampire films/series on their opinions on others but I think its because a lot of them have a similar audience and its what they want to see (:
I suppose she meant it as in however it’s a free world but I get what you mean by a walking contradiction!
You are pretty much all right. She was probably joking. She shoulad have not said that though or said it with a laugh? America is a free place to talk and to say your opinions. I think… I come from Canada (:
I kinda agree with Dobrev….
I dont agree that if you live in a place with lots of vampire lore you automatically have some sort of advantage over other actors/actresses, you need to be good in the first place.
What i do agree without however, is that Dobrev already IS a great actress and having been around alot of lore is sure to give her an advantage simply because it can act as research into a role.
You may have two great actors going for a role but I think (personally) the actor who has that little something, who understands their role a little more like indepth, would be the deciding factor.
…anyways, depending on Dobrevs ability to act and knowledge of vampire lore i think yes it is an advantage if you know how to use it.
I agree with nina!!!
“If you’re doing a movie about Kyle Petty, you don’t go looking at the right NASCAR driver to play the part, do you?”
…no probably not, but if you find an actor who is not only talented but also knows alot about NASCAR and being a driver wouldnt that just be amazing? Someone who can act and oooh bonus points actually knows something more about how to portray the character???
I dont think patterson should talk about whos a better Vamp. I think Nina is better hands down.
The only reason Twilight sucks is cuz of patterson. No offence to Twilight lovers I mean i loved the books and all but some times things should stay books.
I think Vampire Diaries is good because it also adds in the real every day things people go though twisted with the Vampire mystery.
So i side with Nina even though what she said about where she lived may not be true maybe it helps because look how great she turned out.
