New Vampire Diaries Poster Released!

Comic-Con in San Diego was the place where the CW chose to release their new poster for “Vampire Diaries”
The cast looks peaceful. Ah, nothing like a nice picnic in the grass with…vampire brothers 
The photo displays the three main characters Elena (Nina Dobrev),Stefan (Paul Wesley),and Damon (Ian Somerhalder). There’s also a bird perched on Elana’s leg. Awwww. Somehow it’s both cute and creepy.
“Vampire Diaries” is set to premiere Thursday September 10,2009 at 7pm central time on the CW.

I think the poster is supposed to mean the phisical draw Elena has for both vampires. The Crow symbolisis how you know Damon is coming. The landscape looks alot like the cementary. Stephen has a passionate draw with Elena, Damon has some what of a passioinate draw with Elena but mostly wants to hurt Stephen.

Isn’t Elena suppose to be blonde? I’ve been reading the books and they all have described her as being a “light blonde n pale” but this girl looks … olive skinned and dark hair..

if your gonna do a tv series from a book…don’t change the appearance of a character!!
exactly she is supposed to be blond and her and stefan never talked at the beggining like bumping into each other…i really hate when they do this…but it still looks kinda good not compared to the book of course.
TV shows can be BASED ON books without actually BEING the books. General plots and what not are the same. But the writers/producers/directors have the literary right to change what they feel they should, because this is THEIR tv show, not the books’ author’s.
I haven’t read the books, and have no immediate plans to do so, but the TV show looks good as just a TV show, so I’ll be among the watchers, at least to begin with.

Well I think they changed her appearance maybe because they really liked that actress and the way she looked and to avoid comparisons with Sookie in true blood.
Maybe Elena can slide…

the bonnie character in the books is described as
a short curly red haired girl…
the girl in the promo playing Bonnie is black….

In the book elena is suppose to have a sister named margaret.
In the show, she has a brother named jeremy.

u guys are all wrong i can’t believe u wouldnt watch it i love it it is sooooo great!!! just becuz they changed it a little is becuz they probally couldn’t find anyone that was decribed in the book.sooo dont thin that they havent read the book just becuz the show has diffrent things it not all about the image its about if the people love it or not and guess wat!!………………………………………I AM IN LOVE WITH IT IT IS SOOOO BETTER THEN TWILIGHT!!!
