EXCLUSIVE – Ian rumoured to play Ian O’Shea in Stephenie Meyer’s ‘The Host’ movie!

I was boringly surfing the internet when I saw on IMDB.COM that our very own, stunning Ian Somerhalder is up on the site rumoured to be playing Ian O’shea in a book adaption of Stephenie Meyer’s ‘The Host’!
Ian O’Shea is one of the two main love interests in the story.
For anyone who didn’t know, Stephenie Meyer is the author/mind behind the ridiculously huge Twilight franchise that has taken up every page of every magazine for the past 2 years. For anyone who doesn’t know what twilight is, then…you really must be living under a rock!
Anyway, The Host was a standalone release, that I have personally read and love. I will give a brief summary because it is a really complex topic that would take ages to explain.
It is about a population of souls from other planets that come to earth and take over the human bodies and fuse together with them, one is named the Wanderer and she is fused with a dying human named Melanie Stryder. But, Melanie is still alive in her mind, and fights to get her body back. They then attempt to locate the last pocket of surviving humans on Earth. This results in finding alot of people from Melanie’s previous life…but I wont spoil too much!
I know, far fetched, right?
It really is not as geeky as it sounds. Its actually an amazing love story.
I hope Ian gets the role because I think he is perfect for it.
What are your thoughts? Anyone heard of the Host?

Provided you aren’t offended by nudity, etc. It is make my HBO, so it’s more of an adult vampire drama. Still very good though! There are 2 seasons, and the 3rd premieres June 13th. It should hold you over until the Vampire Diaries season 2 premieres!

I love The Host and I really really like Ian as Damon. He is totally hot and a great actor.
BUT I don’t see him as Ian O’Shea. No. Something about it would be just wrong for me.
However, I am really excited, that they want to turn The Host into a movie. I didn’t think they would.
The Host is far less popular than Twilight. Nearly nobody of my friends have read it despite my constant promoting of the book.
